World-leading infrastructure
At the centre of the Innovation Arc, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, are building two state of the art new hospitals, in what will be one of the most significant healthcare projects in the UK and a once in a generation build for the city.
It will transform healthcare in the region as well as be the catalyst for a new innovation village, creating a world-class hub for research, innovation and technology in health and life sciences.

Leeds’ digital health jobs make up 22% of the UK total, with some of the NHS’s major suppliers based here including DePuy Synthes, Brandon Medical, Egton Medical Information Systems (EMIS) and IT consultancy company BJSS who delivered the redeveloped NHS Spine.
