Leeds leads the way in tech sector growth among regional UK cities.

New research highlights Leeds as a standout performer in the UK’s tech sector.

According to a study conducted by Leeds Digital Festival and The Data City, technology companies based in Leeds are expanding at more than twice the national average. The analysis, which reviewed data from 5.3 million businesses, found that firms classified under the tech RTIC (Real-Time Industry Classifications) category in Leeds are growing at an annual rate of 3.6%, compared to the national average of just 1.6%—a growth rate 125% higher than the rest of the country.
