Mabgate has a number of rich heritage buildings, and is a lively and growing hub for creativity and culture, whether through a new dedicated Art Hostel, the leading workspace for artists at Patricks Studios, independent food and beverage businesses or the award winning work of the charity MAP at Hope Foundry.
Alongside this, there are a number of emerging residential or mixed use development opportunities which is increasing footfall in this area, drawing on the area's excellent connectivity. Mabgate has a diverse range of high quality heritage buildings which provide opportunities for distinctive place-making and regeneration
Work is commencing between businesses, landowners and the Council on a Regeneration Framework for the area, which will set out ambitious plans for public realm. The area benefits from excellent transport links, and further work through Leeds Living and Housing Infrastructure Fund will seek to enhance the liveability of the area. Mabgate will also be integral to our 2023 plans and growth of our creative sectors.
There are a range of opportunities, particularly for start-up or SME creative businesses, whilst there are allocated sites within the Site Allocations Plan, for mixed uses.
